The variety is a perennial bulbous plant characterized by an early flowering period, which can occur in winter or early spring. The flowers have a white base color with blue streaks and pale golden-green spots on the lower perianth lobes.

The plant prefers sunny areas with well-drained rocky or medium-textured soil. The variety shows resistance to Verticillium wilt.
