The variety was obtained by crossing Howard and Purpurea forms. The fruits are medium-sized, round-shaped, and have well-sealed sutures. About 90% of lateral buds are fruitful, which ensures medium to high yield. The tree begins to bear fruit in the 2–4th year after planting.
The flowering and leaf-out periods coincide with the Chandler variety, while fruit ripening occurs a week earlier. The kernel has a mild, creamy taste. Due to the specific color of the skin, the variety is a niche product used for decoration in culinary arts and confectionery.
