The tree of the variety has a semi-upright growth habit and weak to medium branching. Flowering is characterized by protogyny, in which male flowers bloom later than female ones.
The nuts have an ovoid shape and a light brown shell of medium thickness with moderate ribbing. The kernel has a purple skin color and a pleasant taste; the variety is valued for its high kernel percentage of the total fruit weight.
