Butterhead lettuce type. Young plants have a fresh green color, leaves are slightly narrowed at the base. The mature head is large, dense, and compact, with a pale green, almost yellowish color of the upper part. Outer leaves are rounded, covered with large blisters. The diameter of a mature plant is about 20–25 cm.
The variety belongs to early-maturing and white-seeded types, characterized by slow bolting. Possesses good yield with early head formation. The variety is of French origin, historically used in the breeding of other varieties, in particular the Imperial line.
