The variety forms a rosette of crisp and tender leaves, the shape of which resembles chicory leaves, for which reason the variety is also known by the names Radichetta, Catalogna, or Cerbiatta. The leaves are highly dissected and have a bright green color.
The plant is noted for being slow to bolt and adapted to cultivation throughout the entire season. Due to its cutting type, the variety allows for up to 4–5 harvests, provided the growing point is preserved. The crop is undemanding and prefers fertile, well-drained soils with regular watering.
