The Goudgele Gotte variety, also known as Gotte jaune d’or, is characterized by rapid growth and a short vegetation period. The plant forms compact dense heads consisting of soft tender leaves with a pleasant taste.
The variety is intended for very early sowing under cover. It can be grown as a head lettuce or used as a cut-and-come-again lettuce, harvesting young leaves as they grow. Due to its early maturity, multiple sowings are possible throughout the season.
