The variety forms small, dense heads about 25 cm high with tender green leaves. The produce is characterized by a mild flavor and tender texture; young plants are suitable for consumption at the thinning stage.
The plant belongs to very early-maturing spring types. The variety is sensitive to high temperatures and prone to early bolting. Sowing from January to March is recommended with a spacing of 25–30 cm between plants on humus-rich soils with moderate nitrogen application.
