The plant reaches a height of 15–20 cm. The leaves have a pronounced blistered texture, and their green color acquires a more intense red tint when exposed to light.
The variety is early-maturing with a vegetation period of 30 to 60 days. The plant is suitable for cultivation both in the open field and in aeroponic systems, and is characterized by good keeping quality after harvest.
Rossina di Pescia is a traditional landrace variety, also known by the synonym Pesciatina.
