Rossa di Trento is an old Italian variety, also known as "Ubriacona frastagliata". An early-maturing variety, ripening in 60 days. The plant forms a highly elevated rosette up to 32 cm in diameter. The weight of the marketable part of the head is 260–367 g.
The leaves are large, blistered, with a jagged edge, light green in color with wine-red or red-brown margins. The texture is crisp and delicate, the flesh consistency is buttery, and the taste is fresh with a slight bitterness.
The variety is intended for cultivation in open field and under film covers, suitable for fresh use and for harvesting using baby leaf technology. Possesses high resistance to bolting.
