The «Krasnohradska 8» variety was created for the grain legume breeding program in the Ukrainian Steppe. It is intended for the production of plant protein and use in livestock farming, as well as potentially for food purposes.

The grass pea is characterized by high drought tolerance and low susceptibility to the pea weevil. Detailed morphological and agronomic traits of the variety, such as plant height, vegetation periods, and yield, are absent in open publications.
