The LAVVAL variety (commercial name Blue Jeans) is a low-growing plant 30 to 40 cm in height with a well-branched, bushy form. The foliage is gray-green, and the flowers have a distinct dark blue-purple hue and a characteristic fragrance.

The plant belongs to a group of varieties that bloom in mid-summer. One of its key features is its reblooming ability: when pruned after the first flush of flowers, a second flush is possible in late summer. The variety is drought-tolerant and possesses resistance to deer browsing.
