The variety is a product of clonal selection and represents a bud mutation of the variety «Пріорський». Work on its breeding and study is associated with the name of O. I. Rudnik-Ivashchenko.

In scientific publications, the variety is considered primarily in the context of in vitro research. It has been established that when cultured on hormone-free Murashige-Skoog nutrient media, the «Мрія» variety exhibits a high correlation between the multiplication coefficient and the number of internodes on explants.

The variety belongs to essential oil crops intended for industrial or breeding cultivation. Detailed data on the morphological characteristics of the plant, maturity dates, and essential oil composition are absent in available studies.
