The plant is a summer-green herbaceous crop reaching a height of 15–20 cm. The leaves are lanceolate, with a gray-green or silvery-gray color. The variety forms dense, compact cushions.
Flowering is early, occurring from May to August. The inflorescences are characterized by a large size for this species, a snow-white color, and a woolly texture. The variety is suitable for cutting and use in dried flower arrangements.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness down to -26°C and is well-adapted to plain conditions, heat, and drought. It propagates vegetatively. It is used in rock gardens, rockeries, border plantings, and is also grown in containers.
