The Linoal oilseed flax variety is intended for spring sowing and is described in individual studies as a variety with intermediate properties, combining traits of both oilseed and fiber usage types.

The plant possesses low lodging resistance, evaluated at 2 points on a nine-point scale. The seeds have a brown color. Biochemical characteristics of the variety include phytic acid content below the average level; its phenolic composition and antioxidant activity have also been studied.
