The variety is a tetraploid Italian ryegrass. In agronomic studies, it was used as a reference variety for evaluating the nutritional value of forage crops and was included in grass mixtures.

The variety possesses high disease resistance, however, in comparative trials of the second year of use, a decline in productivity and insufficient winter hardiness were noted, as a result of which it was removed from the Swiss list of recommended forage plants.
