The variety was bred by the Svalöf company as part of the Swedish forage grass breeding program. At the time of its introduction, it demonstrated higher productivity and better overwintering ability than the varieties present on the Swedish market of that period.

The plant was intended for agricultural use in the creation of forage lands, including pastures and hayfields. Currently, the variety is considered obsolete and is found primarily in genetic collection lists or materials on the history of breeding.
