Variety description

10 August 2026

The Aberdart variety belongs to the intermediate maturity group and is a representative of the first generation of high-sugar grasses. Its distinctive feature is an increased content of fructans, which contribute to improving the productivity of ruminants when used in pastures or for silage harvesting.

The plant has high leafiness and demonstrates good yield in field trials. When cultivated in regions with climatic conditions different from the British ones, the variety may exhibit a reduction in growth activity during the winter period.
