The variety is diploid (2n) and is intended for inclusion in pasture and meadow grass mixtures. In a number of comparative trials, the variety acts as a baseline standard for evaluating dry matter yield.

The rust resistance index of the variety is 6.1 on a nine-point scale. Regrowth after mowing is characterized by an index of 1.7.
