The variety Betty is a diploid form of perennial ryegrass. The plant is used primarily for forage purposes, including the creation of grass mixtures in combination with legumes, in particular red clover.

During comparative trials, the variety demonstrated high productivity rates in terms of dry matter yield at the first cut. The variety is officially registered as a forage crop.
