The variety «Bocage», also known in archival documents as «Anglais Bocage», is a forage crop intended for pasture and haymaking use. The variety is mentioned in agronomic publications of the mid-20th century.

A detailed morphological description of the plant is absent. In scientific research of the early 21st century, the variety was considered in the context of potential complex resistance to fungal diseases, in particular to rust of the genus Puccinia.
