Bomium is a diploid perennial ryegrass variety. Due to its genetic structure, it has fine leaves and high shoot density, which distinguishes it from tetraploid varieties.

The variety belongs to the late-maturing group and is characterized by vigorous growth at the end of the season, providing a stable forage supply until the end of summer. It shows high total annual yield and metabolisable energy production, demonstrating efficiency for silage harvesting and pasture use.

The plant possesses good resistance to diseases, in particular crown rust, which contributes to maintaining the health and longevity of the sward.
