The Donner variety refers to diploid perennial ryegrasses and belongs to the ninth maturity group. The plant is characterized by high dry matter yield, especially in the first cut, and good adaptability to unfavorable growing conditions.

The variety possesses pronounced persistence and high winter hardiness. Resistance to a number of common diseases is also noted, including Fusarium, leaf spot, and rust, which makes it suitable for forage purposes.
