Sucral is a variety of perennial ryegrass. The variety is characterized as tetraploid and is distinguished by a very high sugar content.

The primary purpose of the variety is for use in pasture mixtures. In particular, it is used in forage mixtures, where it is valued for its excellent palatability for grazing animals.
