Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is tetraploid and belongs to the mid-late or late heading group. The plant has a dark green color and broad leaves. The tetraploid nature of the variety ensures a high sugar content, which contributes to good palatability and high digestibility of the fodder.

The plant exhibits resistance to rust and lodging, and also demonstrates satisfactory winter hardiness provided a dense sward is formed. In a number of studies, peculiarities of seed germination under field conditions were noted, requiring attention during sowing.

The variety was intended for use in pasture and forage mixtures, including grazing systems and silage harvesting. Due to its agronomic characteristics, the variety was often used as a standard in comparative trials of tetraploid ryegrass forms.
