The variety is a diploid plant with an erect habit, large broad-leaved shoots, and rolled young leaves. The floral glumes have developed awns, although a small percentage of awnless seeds is possible. In terms of morphological characteristics, it is close to the variety «Grasslands Paroa».
The crop is adapted to a temperate climate with high soil fertility and precipitation levels. In the first year of life, it demonstrates high productivity, and in the absence of excessive grazing, it shows longevity. Historically, the plants may contain fungal endophytes that affect their resistance.
