The variety is the result of interspecific crossing of Lolium perenne and Lolium multiflorum. The tetraploid nature ensures the formation of large seeds and high nutritional value of the green mass, characterized by good dry matter digestibility at the level of 65–70% and an increased content of soluble carbohydrates.
The plant combines the rapid growth and productivity of Italian ryegrass with the longevity and persistence of perennial ryegrass. The variety is adapted to humid climatic conditions and is intended for medium-term use in swards for 3–4 years, although it shows sensitivity to winterkill in regions with severe winters.
