The Skifs'ka variety was selected among seedlings from open pollination of Lonicera edulis Turcz. ex Freyn. The plant is recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones, and is also considered as raw material for medicinal preparations.

The fruits have an oval-ovate shape, the average berry weight is 0.8 g. The taste of the fruits is sweet and sour, bitterness is absent. The yield of the variety is about 0.8 kg per bush. Scientific research of the variety is aimed at studying the composition of biologically active substances in the fruits.
