Variety description

The variety was bred for the northern climate conditions of Scandinavia. In 1998, a plant specimen was introduced to the Peter the Great Botanical Garden in Saint Petersburg for study and testing.

The plant is considered primarily as an ornamental, while in Sweden the possibility of using it for creating hedges in cold climate conditions was studied. The variety is winter-hardy and fruit-bearing, but requires further agronomic study.
