The Dart's Forward Look variety belongs to the species Lonicera japonica. It is an exclusively decorative plant, which is a vine, and it is not an edible honeysuckle variety grown for berries.

In specialized woody plant reference books, the variety appears under the breeder name Interlook. Characteristics of berry varieties, such as ripening dates or yield indicators, are not applicable to this decorative crop.
