The ATMODA variety was bred at the Institute of Horticulture in Dobele. During tests in the conditions of Central Russia, the apple tree demonstrated high resistance of vital tissues to temperatures down to -38 °C, which confirms its winter hardiness.

The plant possesses high adaptability, however, detailed characteristics of the fruits, their ripening periods and morphological parameters of the tree are not presented in open scientific sources. The variety is not a mass industrial brand and is more often considered as an object of biological research.
