Fruits are medium to large in size, round-conical or round-flat in shape. The skin is pale yellow, almost completely covered by a bright red or crimson blush with stripes and a light glaucous bloom. The flesh is white, sometimes with red veins, tender, crisp, and juicy.

The tree is medium-sized, vigorous, with a spreading crown, and belongs to precocious varieties. It is characterized by poor fruit keeping quality and a tendency toward alternate bearing. The variety is susceptible to scab and fruit tree canker.

Fruits ripen in mid-summer, starting from July. The variety is used for fresh consumption, as well as for making pies, sauces, and cider.
