The variety belongs to late summer or autumn cultivars, with harvest taking place in September. The tree has medium vigor, a weeping crown, and flowers late. The plant requires sunny locations with a southern exposure and light, deep, fresh soils rich in shale decomposition products. The variety shows a tendency toward biennial bearing.

The fruits have creamy-white juicy flesh with a crunchy texture, a sweet-tart taste, and a mild aroma. The skin is thick and tough, separating poorly from the flesh. The fruits are sensitive to mechanical damage, prone to rapid overripening, and are susceptible to scab and codling moth.
