The variety is a local find existing in single specimens. The name "Champagnin" is conventional, as the original name has not been preserved. There are hypotheses about a possible relationship of the variety with the old "Renetta Champagne" or the French "Api stellata" due to the shape of the fruit.
The plant belongs to the category of local genetic resources. There is no agrotechnical description of the variety as it is currently under study. Data on the taste and commercial characteristics of the fruit, as well as information on disease resistance, are not presented in the literature.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
