Variety description

The fruits of this variety are small in size and have a characteristic truncated-conical shape with a distinct calyx basin. The skin is yellowish in color with uneven russeting. The ivory-colored flesh is firm, crisp, and moderately juicy, with a sweet taste.

The tree has medium vigor and is self-fertile. The variety matures in November and is distinguished by good fruit storage until the end of winter. The plant is considered less demanding and more resistant in comparison with modern commercial varieties.

The variety is the result of historical folk selection and is distributed mainly in the regions of Umbria, Tuscany, and Marche. At present, it is used in private gardens and collections of rare fruit crops for the preservation of biodiversity.
