The variety is native to the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region; the trees have a semi-open crown and medium to low vigor. The flowering period coincides with the Golden Delicious variety, and harvesting takes place in the second ten days of September.

The fruits have a crisp flesh and a pleasant sweet-sour taste, suitable for fresh consumption and culinary use. Consumer maturity is reached in the third ten days of September, and the fruits can be stored until October.

The variety is characterized by good productivity and low susceptibility to fruit drop. It is valued as an old variety for the preservation of biological diversity.
