The variety is a local cultivar identified during projects for the conservation of genetic diversity of fruit crops in the Carnia area. The plant is characterized by good productivity, the fruits have a small size.

The variety is of interest for traditional gardening and the conservation of biodiversity. It is found in lists of old folk varieties under various synonyms, such as Zeuka.
