Feuillemorte is a late-ripening variety; flowering is noted as very late. Harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in late October, and their consumption period lasts from December to March.

The fruits are characterized by juicy, crisp flesh and a refreshing taste. They are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for the production of juices and cider.

Due to the specific characteristics of starch degradation, the variety is used in pomological studies as a reference sample for determining harvest dates.
