The variety is a mutation of the Boerekamp Early Queen clone, which belongs to the Jonagold group. It is a dessert variety that matures in early September, approximately three weeks earlier than other Jonagold mutants. High yield is combined with moderate fruit size, which reaches a diameter of 75–80 mm.

The fruits have a bright red color with a green background and are colored uniformly even in shaded parts of the canopy. The shape of the fruit is flatter compared to other members of the group. The flesh is characterized by firmness, juiciness, and a high sugar content of 11.9 to 15 degrees Brix.

The variety has good keeping quality, retaining its taste characteristics after storage. Due to its early maturation period and shortened growing cycle, the variety requires lower costs for treatment with plant protection products against diseases.
