The variety is a seedling discovered in the Ribe region of Denmark. It is classified as a diploid variety. Flower buds are set mainly on old branches, and flowers in the "balloon" stage have a characteristic purple hue.
Fruits ripen in the first half of August and possess pronounced sweetness with low acidity and a pleasant aroma. The flesh has medium juiciness; however, the fruits are prone to damage and have a very short shelf life.
The plant has high resistance to scab, apple tree canker, and powdery mildew. Currently, the variety is considered rare and is grown mainly for the preservation of genetic diversity in specialized collections.
