The tree is vigorous, forming a powerful spreading crown. It is a summer ripening variety; fruits are ready for harvest in the period from the end of August to mid-September. The plant is characterized by demanding care and a tendency towards biennial bearing.

The fruits are medium to large in size and often have an irregular, ribbed shape. The thin, smooth skin turns bright yellow with red stripes or a blush upon ripening. The yellowish flesh is tender, very juicy, and distinguished by a pronounced sweet-and-sour taste and a characteristic starchy-pineapple aroma.

The variety has a universal purpose, including fresh consumption, culinary use, and processing into juices or alcoholic beverages. The fruits do not tolerate transport well and have a short shelf life, which is why the variety is more often found in amateur gardens and collections.
