The tree has medium to strong vigor, reaching 5–8 meters in height depending on conditions and rootstock. The variety is considered traditional and is currently preserved mainly in genetic resource collections and amateur gardens.
Fruits ripen in late August. They are medium to large in size, often irregular or slightly flattened in shape with characteristic ribs at the calyx. The skin is greenish-yellow, with carmine-red stripes on the sunny side; the flesh is distinguished by a pronounced aroma and sweet taste.
The variety has low resistance to apple scab. The fruits are used both for fresh consumption and for processing.
