The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Krasava and Jolana. It was created as part of a breeding program for developing apple varieties with disease resistance, particularly to scab, and was used as a parent form for breeding other varieties, such as Juno.

The variety belongs to the summer maturity group. In scientific literature, it is mentioned in the context of fire blight resistance testing and is included in the Czech state registers as breeding material.
