The variety is a folk selection and was obtained through open pollination. The tree is distinguished by its large size and good adaptation to harsh northern climatic conditions, successfully growing in zones I–IV of Finland.

The plant possesses high resistance to scab and storage rot. The fruits are large in size and yellow in color, suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for industrial processing, including the production of cider and wines.
