The variety is a traditional ecotype from the Abruzzo, Molise, and Campania regions. The plant is well adapted to the climate of hilly and mountain areas, prefers sunny dry sites with fertile soil, and exhibits resistance to adverse weather conditions.
Fruits are medium to medium-large in size, having yellow-ochre or dark red skin with a blush. The flesh is white, firm, juicy, with a sweet-tart taste and intense aroma. The apples have high keeping quality and are capable of being stored for up to six months in a cool place.
The variety is versatile and suitable for both fresh consumption and culinary processing. Currently, it belongs to the category of rare varieties protected as a genetic resource of biodiversity.
