Melella is an ancient Italian apple variety. In the past, the fruits of this variety were widely used during agricultural work to prepare refreshing drinks, which is why the variety received the second name Mele di trebbiatura.
The trees are characterized by medium vigor and have a compact crown. The fruits ripen around July 15. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the variety are absent in wide scientific publications, as it belongs to local traditional varieties preserved within the framework of agrobiodiversity.
