The variety is a mutation of the Gala apple. The tree is characterized by weak to medium vigor. The fruits have a slightly elongated shape and large size, smooth bright red skin with stripes, as well as juicy, crisp flesh with a sweet aroma.

The variety belongs to the mid to mid-late maturity group with a harvest period at the end of August. Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Evereste, and Prof. Sprenger are recommended as pollinators. The variety is used in studies on the effect of different rootstocks on orchard productivity.
