The flesh is light cream, firm, and fine-grained.

The variety is a winter type; harvesting begins in late October. The taste is characterized as spicy, with an initial wine-like acidity that transitions into sweet-and-sour during storage. The apples are versatile in use, suitable for fresh consumption and processing. The tree is noted for winter hardiness and regular yield, and it requires the planting of pollinator varieties.
