The variety is classified as a table variety intended for cultivation in commercial and amateur orchards. In literature, it is referred to the Royal Delicious type, and the variant name Golden Smoothe indicates its belonging to the group of varieties with yellow fruits.

Fruits ripen at mid-late times; in the conditions of Cyprus, harvesting falls on late September – early October. The variety is used in scientific research as an object for studying the mineral composition of fruits and the resistance of trees to the effects of rosy apple aphid.
