The variety is a mutant of the Braeburn group. The fruits are characterized by juicy, firm flesh and a sweet-and-sour taste. Fruit ripening occurs in early October, which corresponds to a period approximately two weeks after the Golden Delicious variety.

The plant has good fruit keeping quality. Like other members of the Braeburn group, the variety can show sensitivity to diseases such as scab and bitter pit.
