The variety was obtained through selection of resistant forms; in particular, 500 resistant plants were selected from a population of 25,000 seedlings. It belongs to population groups possessing pronounced plasticity and was used in breeding programs to create hay-pasture type hybrids.
In scientific literature, the variety is characterized by resistance to the stem nematode, with the proportion of resistant plants in the population being about 70%. For decades, it has been actively used in field trials in various regions as a control sample for productivity comparison.
